Agenda Items and General Business:
DIAP- (Disability Inclusion Action Plan) the summary was read.
No suggested changes regarding content, and some actions were identified:
Adult Change table at VIC or Wilson Oval
Maps for access
Access to RSL Hall accessible toilet form outside building
Parking at VIC for PWaD
Seating at Liv Lodge
Accessible toilet at Library
Action: these points to go to UHSC- Kerri Cone
Regional Achievement nominations open: suggest Meals on Wheels however, many other groups in Murrurundi are achieving great results, Pages River Warriors, VIC, LHC, Murravale Board.
Town Revitalisation: funding for improvements- media release should go to all Mayne St businesses. Rodney to report to Revitalisation Committee.
CRM required for access behind St Pauls due to vehicle driving along the riverbank.
Australia Day- testing the idea of a community group taking the lead on celebrations while the Committee focus on award event. Suggest need schools and/or sporting groups involved.
Preschool – all going well- branches lopped by UHSC.
School- principal appointed.
Museum Exhibit- 11 working models from Andromeda at Moonbi.
DPOP: the Forum recommends the chair makes a submission to Council for a budget allocation for sports improvements and amenities.
Fitness equipment- steps and treads are loose and caps taken off poles. This has been reported to police.
Water supply update- the members would like an update from Council if possible.
Town Action Plan- Signage at Railway Station- H Ranclaud to follow up.
Reclassification of deer– information session to be held led by DPI Orange.
Community Garden- some interest from Men’s Shed. Need deer proof fence.
St Paul’s removing stables.
